Industrial Visit to Vimal Drugs Pvt Ltd – 02-05-2025

II B.Pharmacy students embarked on an industrial visit to Vimal Drugs Pvt Ltd, a leading pharmaceutical company in Parawada, Visakhapatnam. The visit was organized to provide hands‑on experience and exposure to real-world industry practices.

GPAT Mock Test – 05-05-2025

GPAT Mock Test was conducted for IV B.Pharmacy students in association with GDC GPAT coaching centre, offering exam‑style paper practice to enhance readiness for the actual GPAT.

Lecture by Dr. B. Manoj Kumar – 09-05-2025

Dr. B. Manoj Kumar, HOD of Pharmacy Practice, delivered a lecture on “Lifestyle Medicine for Mental Health: Evidence‑Based Strategies for Prevention of Mental Health Disorders” during an FDP at Viswanadha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

A lecture titled “Overview on general assessment in pediatrics and childhood vaccinations” was delivered by Dr. J. Sarath Chandra to I & II Pharm.D students. The session enhanced knowledge in pediatric care and immunization protocols.

Ms. Meghana, Senior Manager at TechMind Sparc Innovations, guided B.Pharm and Pharm.D students on career opportunities in clinical pharmacy, research, and regulatory affairs.

Motivational Session – Critical Thinking – 16-05-2025

A motivational session titled “Critical Thinking in Reality” was organized for II B.Pharm & I Pharm.D students, delivered by a Brahmakumari Sister to enhance analytical and reality-based thinking.

A session on “Refreshing Soul – Peace of Mind through Rajayoga Meditation” conducted by Sister Brahma Kumari Shiva Leela to help students manage stress and cultivate inner peace.

Online Yoga Practice (Yogandhra 2025) – 21-05-2025 to 21-06-2025

A month-long online yoga practice organized with JNTU‑GV Sports Council & NSS Unit, held daily from 6 AM to 7 AM via Microsoft Teams to celebrate International Yoga Day.

Educational Visit to AMTZ Incubation Centre – 30-05-2025

IIC event for I B.Pharm students at the AMTZ Incubation Centre in Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Students explored innovations in medical devices, startups, and research incubation.

WNS Placement Drive – 30-05-2025

Placement drive for IV B.Pharm by WNS Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Visakhapatnam. The HR panel including Ch. Manoj, Y. Sharon Kumar, and R. Ravi Kishore conducted resume reviews and interviews.

World No Tobacco Day – Pledge Ceremony – 31-05-2025

Theme: “Bright products. Dark intentions. Unmasking the Appeal.” Students participated in a pledge ceremony to stay tobacco-free, raising awareness about tobacco dangers and industry tactics.

INDUSTRY COLLABORATION ( MOU)

Today (16-11-2022) AQuity Solutions has exchanged Memorandum Of Understanding with AVANTHI INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES with mutual understanding about providing infrastructure at campus for training and interactive sessions and placements for Pharm D and B.Pharm Students.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS

Our students of final year B.Pharm , M.Pharm has visited Aurobindo pharmaceutical pvt .ltd and gained multi level knowledge on manufacturing of bulk medicines . Every year Our students visits various other pharmaceutical industries as a part of the industrial visit program since 2005 . This program enhances the student experience and practices in handling the machineries in real time work management. Work flow , work environment and work culture can be absorbed by the students at this learning level.

Academic Activities

All the Value Added Courses, FDP, SDP, Quality Improvement Programme, industrial visits will be organized every year in the college.

Co–Curricular Activities

The College provides the much needed facilities in the personality development process of the students. Students are provided in an activity centre for their recreation and light reading facilities. Various activities like Guest Lectures, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops are being organized every year to benefit the students to acquire the latest knowledge.

Seminars & Extension Lectures:

It is general practice to conduct various seminars and extension lectures on various topics related to Pharmaceutical Sciences and staff on various technical and academic issues by eminent personalities both from academics and industry.
For students, an interaction with luminaries from the corporate / professional world is of paramount importance, scientists, professors and practitioners from prestigious institutions are invited to deliver lectures in the college.

Extra Curricular Activities

At Avanthi, Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged, to promote a balanced lifestyle and to build team spirit, managerial skills, enable students to find outlets to beat stress in the highly competitive environment that they have to face in the world today. These activities are taken care by the activity centre which encourages, guides the students to participate in sports, paper presentations, project contests, Health Camps, Awareness Rallies, Student Fests, IPSF Avanthi Chapter, NSS, NCC various other programmes.
